With just a week to go before the 5km race, seven members of Sandersons Solicitors in Parliament Street, Hull, are getting in some final practice as they prepare to hit the treads at the Costello Stadium.
Solicitor Sarah Coates-Madden, practice manager Sarah Rawling, legal executive Geraldine Martin, legal assistant Heather Midwinter, trainee solicitor Leah Kuc and legal secretaries Gwenneth Vardy and Helen Wastling, are all in training for the event on Sunday June 1st in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Runner Sarah Rawling, said today: “We’ve all been working hard to get into fitness for the race. Some of us will be slower than others – but it’s the taking part that is so important to us. Most families are touched by cancer in some way and this is a great way, as women, to get behind the fundraising efforts.”
Paul Grimwood, partner at the practice, added: “It’s great to have so many of our team entering the Race for Life event. The sponsorship forms have been flying around the office and I’m sure between them they will raise hundreds of pounds. As a practice we are proud to have such a strong team taking part in this community event.”
