Lisa is a Trainee Solicitor within our Family department and Lisa's career began in business and finance, and restorative justice, where she developed a sharp analytical mind and a foundational commitment to conflict resolution. Motivated by a desire to provide direct advocacy for those affected by domestic abuse, she returned to academia as a mature student, earning a First Class LLB (Hons) from the University of Hull in 2019.
Lisa has built a reputation for excellence in several key areas of Family Law:
- Public Law Care Proceedings: Representing families with diligence during local authority interventions.
- Domestic Violence Injunctions: Securing vital protections for survivors through swift and decisive legal action.
- Private Law Children Disputes: Resolving complex residency and contact arrangements with a focus on the child's best interests.
Lisa demonstrates excellence in client care and advocacy and what sets Lisa's practice apart is the high standard of service she provides during what is often the most challenging period of a client's life. She blends legal precision with genuine empathy, ensuring that every client feels supported, heard, and respected. Lisa recognises that legal jargon can be alienating, so she prioritises clear, transparent communication to demystify the process.
Lisa's approach is characterised by:
- Proactive Support: Anticipating client needs and providing the emotional and procedural grounding necessary to navigate the court system.
- Empathetic Guidance: Drawing on her background in restorative justice to approach every case with a human-centric perspective.
- Community Dedication: Her commitment to her clients is mirrored by her external advocacy; she remains a passionate fundraiser and advocate for local domestic violence charities, staying at the forefront of support for victims and survivors.
- Quality of Service: With a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes through meticulous preparation and a calm, approachable demeanour, she ensures that "quality of service" is more than a phrase - it is the standard for every case she handles. Clients benefit from a practitioner who is as technically skilled as she is personally invested in their well-being.
Lisa is supported by her experienced assistant Caroline who can be contacted should Lisa not be available.
